A new report shows that half of Germany’s water consumption comes from virtual water. On average, each German resident uses the equivalent of 25 bathtubs of water a day, half of which comes indirectly with the industrial and agricultural products that the country imports mostly from dry areas of the world, according to a study released in August by the German branch of the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), Deutsche Welle reported Tuesday. |

In between late of July 2008 and beginning of Augus 2008, WIN got award from World Vision Timor Leste to conduct MPA-PHAST Training. This training was carried-out 10 days since July 28 to August 2008 at WVI Timor Leste Office Meeting Hall. There were 24 persons attended this training which included 17 staff from World Vision, and 7 persons from other international NGOs they were PLAN 2 trainees, Water Aid 2, and from OXFAM 3 trainees. In order to strengthen their understanding to the MPA-PHAST it was done field trial which was held in Fatulia village, Baucau. It took 4 hours to get that village. |
